In 2016, Damian’s beautiful and loving wife Trudy was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. Trudy was an absolutely inspirational woman, who did not let her situation get the better of her. She was determined to take back some control and began her mission to raise awareness about the disease and advocate for early detection testing.

Damian wholeheartedly supported Trudy on her ovarian cancer journey and supported his wife’s advocacy work. For the past 17 years, Damian Crowley worked as an operator at Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal. Through his employment with them, Damian met with the PR and Sponsorship Program to discuss partnership opportunities to help Trudy’s vision come to fruition. Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal is a tight-knit family, that has helped support the Crowley family with their cancer journey and as well as a fantastic support partner for ovarian cancer advocacy.

Damian is a board member for the Trudy Crowley Foundation and is passionate about continuing Trudy’s legacy work.
